Funnily enough I have been looking around and have discovered the Sanyo VPC-CA9.

It's pricey but seems to be one of the few HD waterproof cameras meaning mounting it outside the car (in the front bumper somewhere) won't risk it's destruction.

I have some footage from an in car camera from the last LCI day at Kirkistown and am not very happy with it.

There is also the likes of these: http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cameras.htm and http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/

A search for bullet camera will turn up plenty.

.. Or you could buy a decent camera mount and use a standard camcorder like I have been using for years... Cheap & cheerful... Here's a sample clip from the weekend...

I've used a basic standard compact camera and recently bought a fancypants bullit cam set up. Compact camera was cool but I can't get the mic for the bullit cam in a good position to get anything other than static noise.

compact

bullit

Song dubbed over the bullit cam stuff!
